Browser and device support

This site is built to work best in the latest desktop and mobile browsers, meaning older browsers might display differently styled, though fully functional, renderings of certain components.

Supported browsers

Specifically, we support the latest versions of the following browsers and platforms. On Windows, we support Internet Explorer 8-11. More specific support information is provided below.

Chrome Firefox Internet Explorer Opera Safari
Android Supported Not Supported N/A Not Supported N/A
iOS Supported N/A Not Supported Supported
Mac OS X Supported Supported Supported Supported
Windows Supported Supported Supported Supported Not Supported

Unofficially, this site should look and behave well enough in Chromium and Chrome for Linux, Firefox for Linux, and Internet Explorer 7, though they are not officially supported.

IE Compatibility modes

This site is not supported in the old Internet Explorer compatibility modes.

Android stock browser

Out of the box, Android 4.1 (and even some newer releases apparently) ship with the Browser app as the default web browser of choice (as opposed to Chrome). Unfortunately, the Browser app has lots of bugs and inconsistencies with CSS in general.

Viewing Tips

This site is designed to be compatible with most browsers on the Windows/Linux platform, but we recommend specific configurations. Many older versions of these browsers do not support the latest Internet technology (such as DHTML, style sheets, JavaScript, SSL security or frames).

By using the recommended configurations, you will be able to take advantage of all the site's features. Although your browser may not be listed it may still work. However, using unsupported configurations may make certain features unavailable.
